The drive towards cloud services is continuing at a fast pace. Many companies will have used some form of cloud computing in recent years whether it is to host their email, provide a robust backup solution or allow documents to be shared amongst employees whether they are onsite or working remotely.
Cloud services offer many advantages over onsite hardware however we're always mindful of the significant ongoing costs that cloud services bring. Therefore we will always be pragmatic and recommend cloud solutions when appropriate.
With the retirement of the Windows Small Business Server product range, which included Microsoft Exchange, it is no longer cost effective for a majority of small businesses to have onsite mail solutions. There is a significant move towards cloud based Exchange hosting. We have experience of a number of different platforms but a large proportion of our clients now use Office 365. It is extremely flexible in that there is only a monthly commitment with a minimum of 1 mailbox. We're able to offer advice on which is the best Office 365 plan to subscribe to and whether moving to a subscription that includes all the Office applications is suitable.
